OUR PRIME MOVER

Mr. Bolshoy R.S., who was born into a family with a musical background, was always fascinated by music, which led him to become a self-taught keyboardist.

As his passion for music grew stronger and was encouraged by his parents, he started learning the keyboard from his master, Mr. Alwin Jose, a Guinness Record Holder, and later from Mr. C. Thankaraj to improve his skills and knowledge.

Progressing his interest, Mr. Bolshoy started accompanying stage shows, devotional concerts, ghazals, bhajans, classical, fusion, and several performances like dance, drama, and other musical shows.

Moving forward with his career, Bolshoy decided to enroll in the Sree Swathi Thirunal College of Music in Trivandrum, pursuing his degree to be that of a musician.

Growing up and expanding his skills and knowledge, Bolshoy started working with various music composers, music directors, film directors, and playback singers in the Indian film industry.

With all this joining together and working toward his dreams, the Pinnacle Ensembles were put in gear.
And let the journey begin!

My Career Walkway

A good master is someone who recognizes his discipline and lines up accordingly, which was done by Mr. Alwin Jose, who encouraged my talents and playing skills and pushed me to work on my own further as I never learned a formulated pattern in keyboard but just developed my smartness and techniques.

Later, I gained knowledge from Mr. Thankaraj about playing copious styles of music and instruments on the keyboard. And the step-up phase, getting amazed by the thoughts and notions of Mr. Harikumar Sivan, a violinist and a well-wisher with a bright outlook on my career.

I was always so fascinated by the Symphony Orchestra, and I was lucky to witness the Indian Navy’s Symphony Orchestra practice sessions at their concert hall in Mumbai, which deeply inspired me.

To my fortune, I got a project to arrange symphony orchestration that got me on a cloud nine moment. Later, to my shock, the credit for my work was released in the name of the person who gave me the project. Being deeply taken aback, I later felt better realizing the symphony was played in different countries and was loved by people all around the world, which boosted my confidence.

Rejoicing the days in college, I got a golden opportunity along with music director Nahum Abraham to work with singer Yesudas, making it a memorable experience. Subsequently, I gained work opportunities with music director Pandit Ramesh Narayan, movie director T. K. Rajeev, music director Tej Mervin, subeer Ali Khan, and many others, which augmented my career experience.

My Thought

” The language of music is a formula that can be taught and learned. But the depth and feel are beyond.”

“The insight and idea of a picture are different for everyone and are influenced by lifestyle, society, nature, and mental wellbeing.”

“I have always believed that the goal of an artist is to build a conceptual artistic audience. Unfortunately, it tends to be the vice versa, making music a trend rather than emotion-making music travel an apocalypse.”

“When imagination and emotions expire, the beginning of artificial intelligence conquers the reflections of human intelligence”
